Terms of use

PickleKakis is a noticeboard. Games are organised, booked and paid for by users, not by PickleKakis. When you join a game you enter an arrangement directly with the host and the other players.

PickleKakis is not a party to that arrangement. We are not the organiser of any game. We do not book, own, operate or inspect any court, and we do not provide coaching, officiating, medical or safety services.

All payments are made directly between users by PayNow. PickleKakis never receives, holds, transmits or refunds any money. We display the host's PayNow identifier, the amount and a reference code as a convenience. We do not verify that any payment has been sent or received.

Any refund is owed by the host to the player, not by PickleKakis. If a game is cancelled we will show both of you what is owed. We cannot move the money.

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to become involved in a dispute between users.

Where our systems resolve something automatically — for example by a time-out — that outcome reflects a rule, not a finding of fact about who was right. We are not deciding who is telling the truth. We cannot, and we do not pretend to.

For a dispute worth more than an argument, Singapore's Small Claims Tribunals hear claims up to S$20,000, the filing fee starts at S$10, and lawyers are not allowed. That is the real avenue, and it is open to you whatever we do.

Holds, strikes, reliability scores and restrictions are applied automatically by the rules published in our community standards. We do not employ moderators to review them before they take effect. If you think one caught you unfairly, email us and a person will look at it.

If we get one wrong, we will remove it and tell you we got it wrong.

No hate speech or slurs. No threats, harassment or bullying. No sexual content, and absolutely nothing sexualising a minor. No impersonating another person. No spam, scams or advertising. No content that is illegal in Singapore.

We filter the worst of it automatically and you can report anything in one tap. We review reports within 48 hours. Accounts that post threats, sexual harassment, discriminatory abuse, or content involving a minor are suspended immediately, before review.

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Under-18s are welcome at games as guests of an adult who takes responsibility for them.

One account per person. We may restrict or remove an account that exists to get around a restriction on another one.

Racket sports carry inherent risks, including bodily injury. You take part at your own risk. You are meeting people you may not know, at venues we have not inspected, to play a physical sport.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Singapore law does not allow that to be excluded and we do not try to. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months or S$100.

If we change something that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using PickleKakis after that is how you accept the change.
